Hi Tantarado, A role im P6 is a JOB, a resource is the "PERSON WHO PERFORMS" the job. Example of roles: engineer, project manager, architect, etc..... You usually assign roles to activities early in the project if you havent determined yet WHO will perform the activity. Later, you replace the roles with the resources you decided to allocate. No...An "Engineer" is a role, "John Smith" is a Resource who can play the Role "Engineer" |

Thanks for the insight. Now how can i add material resources? the unit of measure for this is in areas, nos and volumes, will it not be in conflict with the labor resources since it's unit of measure is in hours? regards. |

an activity can have one, two or any number of resources with any type. there will be no conflict with labor resources. |
