P3 problems installing to Windows XP SP2

We are trying to install Primavera Project Planner P3 to a Windows XP SP2 PC and keep getting the error,
"P3 for Windows requires at least Btrieve version 6.15. An earlier version is currently in use or was detected. Close other Btrieve applications and re-run P3. The version currently loaded is located in the c:\Windows\System directory."

Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Thanks, --Ron

Sounds like that computer has some application installed that is in conflict with a P3 component. I've never run across it before. You should probably contact Primavera support for that one.

If you're running Peachtree accounting, Peachtree, like P3, runs legacy versions of Btrieve. Close all other Windows apps, and try it again. P3 usually will overcome the problem and install its own version of Btrieve in a different directory. I do remember, though, that the KB at Primavera had numerous references to this problem.
