To record an actual start and/or finish date, use the hit F7 to show the task information window, click on the squar box next to the start or finish date, and then put the correct date in the start or finish box (unless it's already there). P3 will use that as the start or finish date from then on. One issue to remember: If you finish a task "out of sequence", P3 will (by default) ignore the fact that it's finished and schedule as if it must wait for that tasks' predecessors to finish. You may change this behavior by selecting the "progress override" option. If your tasks are finished "in sequence", then you have nothing to worry about. |
