Network Diagram While making a network diagram if I have a task D that has predecessors B and C, where B has duration of 7 and C duration 10, with a start to start relationship with C where D can only start after 2 days work has completed on C, how do I reconcile this with the B predecessor? I start with task A with ES=1, D=5, EF=5. Task A being predecessor to B and C, task B has ES=6, D=7, EF=12 and task C, I broke into two separate boxes C1 and C2 where C1 has ES=6, D=2, EF=7, and C2 has ES=8, D=8, EF=15. Now do I say task D has ES=8 because that is after two days work has been completed on task C or do I still have to consider task B's completion? This is where I am confused. I went with my understanding that the relationship between tasks C and D means I do not have to wait for task C to fully finish but I still have to wait for task B. As a result for task D i have ES=13, D=10, EF=22. Please share your input and advice. thank you |
