Turnaround Progressing System As plants age there is a greater need to perform maintenance shutdown or turnarounds to maintain their production capacity. Furthermore, the turnaround needs to be completed quickly to reduce the loss of production revenue. Therefore, the scheduling work needs to be managed efficiently through scheduling progress that will produce real time reporting for management. Emerald's Solution Emerald Associates has created TAPS, the Turnaround Progressing System, in order to meet the needs of management during a turnaround. TAPS also simplifies the updating progress process by utilizing Primavera Reporting and bar codes to scan the updates into Primavera efficiently. How TAPS Works A custom report is created in Primavera and printed out at the beginning of each shift. Plant personnel update the report with the percent complete of activities in the Primavera P6 schedule. Percent complete information is scanned into TAPS using a bar code scanner. Activity percent completes in TAPS can easily be used to update the Primavera P6 schedule. The planner or scheduler can analyze the progress of the schedule plan before reporting back to management. Why Choose TAPS The use of TAPS bar code scanning for data entry reduces errors and reduces the time required of the planner or scheduler to gather project updates. In turn, the planner or scheduler can report with confidence on the real time project status. Obtain further information about TAPS by attending one of the free webinar presentations held by Emerald Associates and presented by an Implementation Specialist who can answer any inquires you may have regarding the integration, implementation and benefits that TAPS can provide to your company today. visit http://www.emerald-associates.com |
