EPC – Senior Project Manager – Kuwait



My client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage EPC project in oil/gas, utility and/or Infrastructure projects and to protect the company’s financial rights within budget, time, statutory requirements and company procedures, ensuring compliance with HSE and QA/QC policies and customer satisfaction.

Objectives:


§ Represent the company and enhance relationships in dealing with clients, consultants and regulatory authorities

§ Prepare the project execution plan for management review and approval and manage the approval plan to achieve project deliverables and time line objectives.

§ Review EPC contract documents and administer all issues related to the project in conjunction with manager of projects in accordance with company policies and procedures.

§ Manage resources and expenses to achieve contract completion within budget and time frame

§ Liaise with the HSE and/or Quality Department for the preparation and publishing of project safety and quality manuals to ensure company HSE standards are met.

§ Ensure timely payments are received from the customer in accordance with contract conditions

§ Identify and ensure skills and training needs of assigned manpower are aligned to projects requirements and support recruitment activities to source technically competent personnel for the project

§ Lead EPC project team to ensure timeframes are met

§ Identify and scope any additional works and technical upgrades not covered in the contract to enhance the project deliverables, customer satisfaction and improve company revenue.

Education and experience required:


§ Degree in Engineering and/ or Business Administration

§ 15 plus years of experience working in EPC projects especially oil/gas, utility or infrastructure

§ Through knowledge of construction activities in engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling and contract administration

§ Knowledge of company policies

§ Project Management theory

§ Communication skills

§ Leadership skills

§ Negotiation skills

§ Planning

§ Computer literate

§ Good understanding of project related activities and their interfaces

§ Knowledge of finance and EPC construction experience desirable
