Aspiring to start a career in Project Management Hi, I don't wanna destroy your aspiration, but in the upper 30's you are too old to start a new career (without experience), especially in Project management. Sorry, but I am now in the upper 40's and heard the same words 10 years ago, when I had to change the company and (re-)start as PM. My advantage, I was trained for PM 30 years ago and have had some experience in that field. But for a PM newbie at this age, I would recommend to carry forward your experience in Buissines Administration. Think about mid-life crisis and the 24hour-PM rule. Ask yourself, if you are ready to give up your life (including family and friends) for a new career. If you are ready for this, then take a PM crash corse (PMI compatible) and apply for the worst working project you could get. Experience grows with complaint. Good luck izento |
