Default RE: E-mail project P3 V3

Hey,

I've had the dame trouble in the past. I solved the problem by not using any other format to compress the files. I backed the project to a folder and sent the entire folder. Bit big but it restores all your settings, filters and layouts.

Hope this helps...

Hi ;

You can do this by two ways
1) In native format (p3) by make backup for file and send it easily
2) if you want to send file in PDF format just convert to PDF by print file using PDF printer this will change the file to PDF format , now you can send your files to any one even he doesn’t have a primavera software in hi his computer.

Mike, obviously, we don't know what you mean by "email" a project...

As alaaalhaj said, you can backup the project to a .prx file and email it that way. Some email systems recognize that .prx is actually .zip format, and refuse to pass it. If that's the case, then take the .prx file and "zip" it, using a password to encrypt it. Then decrypt it at the other end using the same password.

If you want to send a "Picture" of the project, alaaalhaj is correct again. Use a product like "win2pdf" from dane prairy systems to create a .pdf file from your layout print. A product like that is an essential part of every P3 user's toolkit.
