| Hello all. I am running currently running P5 and wish to calculate costs of particular jobs that are running. I am able to load up the resources needed for individual jobs but I cannot get the rates to calculate like I would like them to be. In these projects, work will be done with 12+ hour shifts. According to the paying rates and the local laws, we will be needing to pay a regular pay, overtime pay, and a double time pay rates for the workers. Does anyone know how/if it would be possible to have P5 calculate double time rates for the day as well as for the week, in order to calculate a correct estimate of costs? Thank you, Matt |

| P5 is Primavera version 5. It's as distinct from the original "Primavera Project Planner" ("P3.") P5 is a (now obsolete) version that, like MSP, uses SQL Server or Oracle (oops, MSP can't use Oracle, can it...) to create an "enterprise" project environment, capable of sharing resources, "fragnets", and providing multi-project overviews of the enterprise. P6 was released a few weeks ago. It's P5 with some improvements. P3 (aka version 3.1) is an industry standard, but hasn't been updated since 2004 or so. Jim |
