Typical IT Deployment Process

Hi, I am doing some research on project management processes.

I was wondering if someone could tell me what the typical process of an IT deployment is?

For example, doing a roll-out of the next Microsoft Office suite.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Requirements -> Impact and Effort Assessment -> Solution Design(s) -> Planning -> Implementation -> Testing -> Roll-out -> Transition -> After care

I strongly recommend you checking out the Price2 process, which would give you sufficient and detailed information.
