Default Project Politics

In projects politics is likely inevetable, it can be internal or external. can anybody share their insights on how their projects manage the politics or how they had dealt with it?

Excellent question. It goes to the heart of the 'Have you ever been asked to fudge a progress report for a project?' poll I posted some time back.

I think the response is clear for a consultant who values their reputation/integrity - they do what they know is right even if it offends politically.

It may be more of a dilema for employees who are looking to safeguard a pension or climb the corporate ladder.
