Newly appointed PM

I was wanting to know what would be a good approach for a newly appointed project manager, who has to manage experienced senior team members and it is
time to establish the team operating rules. There is some resistance expected
because the team is experienced and the project manager is a newbie.

How would you go about doing this?

To become a very good project manager you should be friendly with all your subordinates and make a team meet at the particular time interval it will enhance your reputation in your company.
