Dissertation topic. construction?

I was thinking of going with 'why projects fail' for my topic/question.

My tutor said I should narrow down the area suggesting construction as possible option as I'm thinking of working in that industry after graduation and it may help in interviews.

But I also need an area within construction to look at apparently but I'm not sure where to look as I have no experience in the area and I'm also worried about narrowing the topic down too much as I have to write 15,000 words about it.

If anyone could suggest an area of construction I could focus on or even a way of phrasing a contruction project failure question it would be much appreciated.

Finally if you think I'm going in the wrong direction here and could pick a much better topic let me know and hopefully point me elsewhere.
