Default Project Management Funny Material

I do have a couple of articles on PM Hut that are light and somehow funny:

The PMO Poem: Muses about the high expectations the stakeholders have from a PMO.
Project Management Excuses: A list of funny excuses that Project Managers usually use to explain why their projects are late/overbudget.

Enjoy!

This one made me laugh...

Five surgeons are discussing who makes the best patients to operate on.

The first surgeon says, "I like to see accountants on my operating table, because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered."

The second responds, "Yeah, but you should try electricians! Everything inside them is color coded."

The third surgeon says, "No, I really think librarians are the best; everything inside them is in alphabetical order."

The fourth surgeon chimes in: "You know, I like construction workers...those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over at the end, and when the job takes longer than you said it would."

But the fifth surgeon shut them all up when he observed: "You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There's no guts, no heart, and no spine, and the head and butt are interchangeable."

Default PM jokes

What is the difference between a mid-life crisis and a project crisis?

In a mid-life crisis you start doing foolish things!

Usually the difference between a story that's funny to you and a story that's funny to others comes down to timing. Hone your craft while you develop your material and get inspiration from the pros, but in the meantime take every opportunity to speak in front of others - join something like Toastmasters (weekly meetings to learn and practice public speaking), or take a public speaking course at the local community college - your improved comfort and timing will help you share your humor more successfully. (And undoubtedly you'll experience more material!) Good luck.
