| I'd like to hear your feelings about PMI's Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) credential. From the PMI website, "The CAPM is designed for project team members and entry-level project managers, as well as qualified undergraduate and graduate students who want a credential to recognize their value to project team performance." On one hand, I see it how it could be viewed as a (slight) negative, a "Junior G-Man" badge for eager new entrants to the field. On the other hand, I would LOVE to lead a project where the SME's and other key team members were CAPM certified. What are your opinions and experiences about this program? Have you worked with any CAPM's? Are you a CAPM yourself? (I'm sorry about the Junior G-Man crack.) Last edited by DonWynes : 09-18-2005 at 09:24 AM. |

| Since PMI is upgrading the requirements for the PMP credential, I expect that the CAPM may start gaining more clout - especially for employers who are looking to fill/train entry level positions.
